Qualifying in 2010 I have built up my expertise predominantly in Addiction, Autism, ADHD, Neurodiversity, Disability, Chronic Illness, Marginalisation/Discrimination and Carer/Caring issues but also Anxiety, Depression, Relationship issues and general mental health wellness. A Masters in Psychology compliments my knowledge. I also work in Equality, Diversity, Inclusion & Access at a University.
‘There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t’ (John Green) and counselling can help keep you on top of things, as well as support you when times are hard. Often we struggle with more than just one thing in isolation, leaving us feeling overwhelmed and unable to find a way forward. Counselling is a safe space just for you. The focus of our work will be you and what brings you to counselling. In our work together I will use a personalised, integrative, person-centred and holistic therapeutic approach so that together we can unpick what is troubling you and find a way forward.
I have a rounded disciplinary approach and as a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I work to their codes of practice and ethics and am fully insured.
It’s important to remember that not only is it okay not to be okay, but it’s also normal. We all need help sometimes. In our sessions you can talk confidentially and openly about whatever is upsetting you.
I work in-person in Cheltenham centre or Charlton Kings and online. Please do contact me for a preliminary chat whether you’re looking for some space to reflect, would like some routine maintenance for your mental health or have a specific issue you’d like to work towards resolving.
